3 Texas Men Face Charges in Texas Robbery

The criminal justice system can be daunting regardless of the circumstances that resulted in an arrest. Unfortunately, it can seem especially so for young people with little legal experience. For example, three young men in Texas are likely wondering about their legal options following their recent arrest on robbery charges.

The charges are related to an incident that reportedly happened in Oct. 2019. Though three people were reportedly involved in the incident, one of the young men suspected of being involved remains at large. The two in custody, an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old, are charged with aggravated robbery and engaging in organized criminal activity.

According to reports, three men were on a basketball court when they were approached by three other men and asked to play a game. Once agreed, at least two men allegedly pulled out guns. Two of the three victims claim to have been struck during the incident, resulting in visible injuries. All three victims report their cellphones were stolen from them.

Police say that those accused of robbery were then left in a vehicle with a “unique feature” which led to the identification of one of the men. Reports indicate that surveillance footage shows them selling the phones. To help these young Texas men fully understand their legal options and the potential consequences of each, they may each choose to seek guidance from an experienced criminal defense attorney. Such a professional can help carefully examine the details of the case and create a plan of action that meets the client’s individual needs.
