Texas Detention Corporal Accused of Domestic Violence

There is no doubt that certain families have unique dynamics. Even families with a strong foundation of love and support can ultimately face conflict. Unfortunately, a Texas detention corporal now faces accusations of domestic violence after a woman accused him of threatening to kill her.

The 35-year-old man was arrested following an incident that happened during the early morning hours of a day in June. According to reports, officers responded to a residence where they encountered a woman who claimed that the man assaulted her. She claims that the man was intoxicated when they become involved in an argument.

The argument, according to the woman, became physical, and he allegedly held her down on the ground. He then reportedly threatened to kill her while holding a handgun. The woman told police that the man fled the scene with their child. He was taken into custody soon after. At the time of the incident, the man was on leave from the sheriff’s office as a result of previous domestic violence allegations, but he is now expected to be served with a termination notice.

As this incident demonstrations, allegations of domestic violence can have serious implications. The man is now facing a complicated legal situation and may be unsure of his options to help him maneuver through it. Fortunately, there are experienced criminal defense attorneys who can help the Texas man fully understand the allegations against him and the different response options available to him, including accepting a plea deal — if offered — or defending himself in court.
